Eating Disorders Day of Prayer

The Eating Disorders Day of Prayer is an annual day of united prayer for people affected by eating disorders, whether they're struggling themselves, love someone who is, or care for others in a professional setting. This virtual event is open to people across the world with a heart for prayer and to see healing and freedom from this deadly mental illness. Together, we come before the Lord in prayer, seeking healing, hope, and freedom for all who are touched by this battle.

Beth Ask Eating Disorders Day of Prayer

About the Leader

Beth Ask, a wife, mother, women's ministry leader, FINDINGbalance prayer group leader, and Registered Dietitian, has a passion for supporting others in prayer through the eating disorder journey. Having found peace and hope through God's Word and prayer, both personally and professionally, she loves coming alongside others in that same hope.

During a loved one's eating disorder journey, Beth asked God how He wanted her to use the experience, and felt led to start a prayer ministry. She gathered nine women to pray her through it, then discovered FINDINGbalance and Rock Recovery, Christian resource groups where prayer support has since flourished for both those struggling and their loved ones.

Out of that same calling, God led Beth to organize and lead the first Eating Disorders Day of Prayer in February 2022, during Eating Disorders Awareness Week, trusting that "Nothing will be impossible with God" (Luke 1:37, ESV).

In 2026, Beth joined with FINDINGbalance, and the Eating Disorders Day of Prayer became a new resource offered through their ministry, widening its reach and inviting more people than ever to unite in prayer.
