Jasmine Tate will rock HFH (and other news…)

It’s been a while since posting here and I just realized that while we’re busy behind the scenes completing the site (yes, STILL :)), and working on HFH, it would be nice to let you in on a little of what’s happening over here. So here’s a quick recap, for those of you who like to be in the know…

HUNGRY FOR HOPE

Our annual conference at the Castle in Colorado Springs is just 2 months from now. There is so much happening that you’re going to love, including workshops, community art projects, networking mixers for professionals and worship. To give you a little taste of the cool music we’re going to have, check out this video featuring Jasmine Tate (she’ll sing this song on Sunday – don’t miss it!):

For those of you attending who are creative types, there are a couple things to be aware of on the front end. First, if you want to attend the Art Journaling workshop, space is limited so you’ll have to reserve a slot. There is a $15 materials fee as well. Second, if you are a poet or musician and want to share something Saturday night as part of our “Freedom Songs” in the round, let us know ahead of time.

WEBSITE UPDATES

For those of you who have missed our “Ask Our Panel” section from the old site, the good news is that it’s coming back. It’s all built on the back end, and we’ve just got to enter the info back in now. Which is kind of a long process, since there are over 450 of them in our library. Once we get all of them entered in (we may do a few a day just to keep other things happening at the same time), we will once again make it possible for you to submit posts. Thank you for your feedback on this and for your patience as we get it done.

The other big thing we’re still completing is our FINDINGbalance Gathering small group section. This is a library of video lessons and worksheets that you can do in a group setting, or even on your own. Like “Ask our Panel”, all the technical stuff is built now. But we’ve got to upload the lessons. The delay is because we’re updating some of them to bring them current, and it is very time consuming. We’re hoping to have this done by the end of this week, or early next, so look for a note on that soon.
