Atheist Objects to Christian Faith as Key to Recovery

“I object to the idea that recovery from an eating disorder requires a belief in God. I’m an atheist and almost died from anorexia when I was in my twenties. But I’m totally free of it now. So why do you have to cram your beliefs down everyone’s throats? Not everyone needs the same process – not everyone needs a spiritual “crutch.” We are capable of making decisions on our own – I’m living proof of that!”
