Old School Food Freedom

Guilt-Free, Christ-Centered Goal Setting with Amia Freeman

Because the enemy was not good enough, he wants us to believe we’re not good enough. There are so many pressures the enemy uses through diet culture and goal setting. It doesn’t matter whether you’re setting goals at the beginning of a new year or in the middle of a current one—the pressure and the negative voice in your head always try to make an appearance.

So, how do you move out of diet culture to take back the territory that the enemy has held hostage from us—things like food, movement, and nutrition? Amia Freeman found Christ through fitness, and today she’s sharing how God helped her reclaim this territory in this throwback episode!
In this episode, you’ll discover how God can support you in goal setting, how competition and fear impact your goals, and how you can move from “beast mode” to “grace mode.”
Here’s what we cover:
  • How Amia found Christ through fitness
  • The most fulfilling way to look at goal setting
  • How God can support you in goal setting
  • A heartfelt way to set goals with God’s help
  • How to goal set for different areas of life
  • How competition and fear impact your goals
  • How Amia’s fitness philosophy has evolved
  • Why Amia won’t ask the “why” behind a goal
  • How to find support to achieve your goals
  • Why the enemy wants us to believe we’re not enough
We hope this conversation encouraged your heart just as much as it did for us! (Be sure to stick around to hear how Chrissy’s life was impacted by this episode with Amia!)
There’s a kind of freedom that only comes when we walk with Jesus. One step at a time, one meal at a time, one breath at a time.
