MODULE-BASED LEARNING SYSTEM
Lasting Freedom provides you with a solid trajectory to leave eating issues behind for good. Our six-module system is intentional about starting with the most immediate felt-need (how to deal with food better), and creating a path to tackle other aspects that drive eating issues. An overview of the modules will be shared with you in your initial consultation.
How long is each module? Each module lasts 8 weeks, with an additional break week during certain parts of the year. Members must complete one to move on to the next. An additional Holiday Module is offered in November/December of each year.
Do I have to sign up for all 6 modules? While we hope that all our members will stick with the program for the full experience, we understand that not everyone is ready to make that commitment on the front end. Currently, cycles are offered one module at a time. If you’re new to Lasting Freedom, you’d be signing up just for Module 1. Following your successful completion of that module, you could then decide whether to proceed to the next level.
What is the minimum age to participate? We are currently serving women in their twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties and even seventies! Eighteen is the minimum age to participate. We love the diversity of ages and look forward to offering a teen program soon.
Where do you stand regarding whether someone can actually ever be fully recovered? We believe that as fallen humans this side of heaven, all of us will struggle with various things until we leave this life for our eternal home. That said, 100% of our core team have personally experienced eating disorders and now live free from them. We are living proof that such freedom exists. To defend our freedom, we humbly recognize our need for grace while at the same time celebrating the freedom that is ours through the blood and power of Christ. We will be cheering you on toward that same freedom.
I am already in a recovery program. Should I do this one too? That is a great question! Our goal for you is balance. If you are already committed to a time-intensive recovery program, such as inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment, adding another thing may feel overwhelming right now. On the other hand, if you recognize that you need more than a weekly or bi-weekly counseling visit, are looking for something more Christ-centered, and/or are just now taking first steps toward finding help, then this is perfect for you. It is also a great tool to use before and after more intensive types of treatment. For example, we have some participants who joined prior to entering an inpatient facility, and are planning to plug back in when they get out. This is a great way to continue important momentum. When you sign up for your one-on-one consultation with us, we’ll help you evaluate whether this program is a good fit for you right now.
