Why ED101?
You might have noticed that eating disorders,
plastic surgery, and body image issues are on the rise these days.
Once regarded as a 'teen girls' issue, anorexia, bulimia, binge
eating, exercise obsessions and chronic dieting are much more common
now, affecting people of both genders and all ages. Particularly
alarming is the world of "Pro-ana" web sites. For those who work
with young people, and/or in a lay-counselor capacity, it is
important to be armed with understanding about these issues, so that
you know how to spot potential concerns, and also what to do about
them.
