Rebecca Bass-Ching, LMFT

 

Rebecca Bass-Ching is a therapist in private practice in San Diego, CA and she recently established Potentia Family Therapy, Inc. www.potentiatherapy.com She specializes in treating disordered eating, trauma and related issues and speaks regularly on these topics at schools, churches, and organizations. Rebecca is currently serving on the inaugural board for the San Diego chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and is also connected to local, state and federal advocacy groups to help improve the quality of care for those suffering from eating disorders. Rebecca is a member of AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists), CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists), IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals), NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association) and EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association). Prior to her work as a therapist, Rebecca worked as an Aide to a United States Senator in Washington, D.C. and as an Account Executive for an Issue Advocacy Advertising Firm in New York City. She also worked for Young Life's International Division as an Area Director in Zurich, Switzerland, and as their International Staff Coordinator. She is married to her husband and best friend, Gavin. They have a daughter, Hazel, and a cat, Mako "the shark-cat".
