Why Give?

 

FINDINGbalance was founded in 2001, and since that time amazing things have happened. But in many ways, we’re only at the beginning of what we believe God has called us to do. Here is just a taste of our vision for the future…

 

• We envision a day when you can call us, or visit our website, and be directed to local counselors in your area who truly ‘get’ eating issues in particular, and address them from a balanced, Christ-centered perspective.
• We see a day when you will be able to find an “Fb Gathering” support group and/or class wherever you are; a safe place to connect with others, hear truth, and believe that freedom is possible.
• We see being a part of your recovery journey on the non-intensive end, by developing Fb counseling centers across the US and internationally that offer Christ-centered care on a sliding scale basis.
• For those who need more intensive treatment, we envision creating a tool to help you sort through the hundreds of treatment options available, to easily find those that meet your unique financial, physical, therapeutic and spiritual criteria.
• We dream of assembling a team to train and mentor thousands of people from various walks of life to use their gifts, talents and passions to love and serve those who are seeking freedom from disordered eating, and to become a powerful voice for prevention, and…
• We look forward to helping create a platform for healthy Christ-centered organizations, individuals and programs focused on eating issues to work together, so that duplication of efforts is minimized, and the greater cause can be most efficiently served.
