Fb Founder Constance Rhodes currently serves as Board President, a role to be filled by a new board member by September 2009.

 

 

Ann Capper, RD, CDN – Vice President

Ann Capper, RD, CDN has served Fb since 2003 as a panelist, advisor, speaker and Nutrition Editor, with numerous articles and video clips posted on the web site. She is the author of Big Thighs, Tight Jeans: Should Jan Go on a Diet?, (Infinity) a groundbreaking book written specifically to help middle school girls develop a positive body image and learn to eat healthfully, without obsession. Ann also speaks, writes and teaches about body image and nutrition in upstate New York, in both the community and church settings. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, National Eating Disorders Association, Nutrition Education for the Public Dietetic Practice Group, and the New York State Dietetic Association. She currently serves on the leadership board of Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, in Corning, NY. With two daughters in college and a teenage son at home, Ann splits her time between being a devoted wife and mother, and investing in the lives of those God brings into her path.

Leanne Spencer, MAMFC, LPC - Secretary

Leanne has two Master’s of Art degrees, one in Religious Education and the second in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She is currently a therapist in private practice in Austin, TX, where she has a particular passion for working with those who struggle with body image as it relates to pregnancy. To that end, she has just begun work on her first book, No, You Can’t Touch My Belly: Balancing Pregnancy and Identity in an Image-Conscious World, set to release in 2009/2010. She has served Fb since 2002 as Adviser, Online Panelist, and Speaker. She and her husband Randy live in Austin with their two sons.

Jennifer Walker, MA, LPC – Treasurer

A Master’s graduate of Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, IN, Jennifer Walker maintains a private practice in Franklin, TN, and is on site at the Fb House. Specializing in the areas of addiction, trauma, abuse and eating disorders, Jennifer has trained with such noted counselors as Dan Allender and Larry Crabb. Her grace-based approach to the therapeutic process, combined with her seasoned perspective on life, relationship and recovery work are assets when it comes to the development of future programs at Fb, particularly counseling programs. An avid horse-woman, she can be found most Saturdays participating in a regularly scheduled fox hunt.

Marian C. Eberly RN, MSW, LCSW, FAPA, Ph.D cand., BCPCC

Marian Eberly served as Vice President of Patient Care at Remuda Ranch Programs for Eating Disorders for 14 years, where she was chiefly responsible for the Clinical oversight of the Remuda Programs. Most recently she has focused her efforts in the area of developing new mental health programs for Remuda, and now serves as editorial advisor and speaker for Remuda, as well as operating her own private practice. Marian has over 20 years experience working with eating disorders and related diagnoses. She has been published in numerous professional journals and recently co-authored a handbook on the Christian treatment of eating disorders. Marian is a frequent conference speaker on a variety of mental health related issues.

Judy Halliday, RN, Founder/Author "Thin Within"

Judy is a registered nurse who specialized in Psychiatry. She is co-founder of the ministry Thin Within, and co-authored the bestselling books Thin Within and Raising Fit Kids in a Fat World. She also serves as co-author of “HEAL” with Fb Advisory Board member Allie Marie Smith. For more than thirty years Judy has been helping people find a balanced, Biblically sound path toward healthy weight management. Her programs are designed to be implemented on a local level, and are an important resource for the Christian community. With a heart for mentoring women of all ages, Judy’s gifts and talents will be a great complement to the mission of Fb. Judy and her husband, Dr. Arthur Halliday, live in Los Altos, CA, near their children and grandchildren.

A.J. Rhodes

Constance’s husband of nearly fourteen years, AJ is probably more familiar with the inner workings, historical progress and future vision of Fb than any other individual. He has also played an integral role over the years as primary developer and current maintainer of Fb’s website. A thirteen-year employee of EMI Christian Music Group, AJ currently serves as IT Director for this top music company, overseeing a department that serves 175 users involving 55 servers in 4 locations. AJ’s technical, organizational and administrative expertise, combined with his personal experience as the husband of a disordered eater, and its accompanying compassion for broken people, give him unique perspective as he serves to help guide and support the misison of Fb.

Amos Taylor

Amos Taylor is the Chief Operating Officer of Selah House, a Christian residential eating disorder treatment facility located in central Indiana. He is also the pastor of a small church and will complete his MBA in April of 2009. Amos’ passion is that individuals will fully realize and find the freedom possible only found in a life full of Christ. His administrative gifts include strategic planning to ensure growth and sustainability of ministries, in order to secure the ongoing and future needs of their work. Amos and his wife Michelle have two children, Isaac and Isabel.
